Moving the Goal Post: Developing Role Models within Engineering Institutions

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

What mechanisms can be used to make global engineers more present in education and practice communities? Throughout Canada there are a number of innovative engineering programs that equip students with new knowledge, foster leadership attitudes, and develop problem solving skills. However, there are few explicit global or 21st century engineering leader role models embedded in engineering education communities, which limits the ability of students and practicing engineers to reach their full potential. This session will explore the global engineering venture's research and action to address the role model deficit.
