VOTO Mobile Ghana
Software Developer

As a social entrepreneur, Rasheeda co-founded Tech Needs Girls Ghana, an annual workshop for girls in Senior Secondary Schools. The workshop involves a hands-on session where girls learn to develop mobile and web applications, interact with teaching software on the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineer, and Mathematics), and meet female technologists who instruct and mentor them. An instructor and mentor herself, Rasheeda has also spoken at numerous youth and girl education camps all around Ghana and raised funds for the awareness of females in Information Technology.

After joining the EWB-supported software company VOTO Mobile in June 2013, Rasheeda Mandeeya Yehuza’s role as a software engineer has since expanded to project leading, client support, and the management of software release processes. A woman in the male-dominated field of technology, Rasheeda is also actively involved in several initiatives to support education for girls in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
